
🐹 Meet Melo — A Hamster Who Can Hear the Music of Nature
We'd like to start by introducing a character — because the entire story of our game begins with him.
His name is Melo, and he's a hamster.
Melo used to live in a human home, spending his days in a life that was peaceful, but a little too small. One day, with a burst of courage and quick thinking, he narrowly escaped the claws of the house cat and stepped outside for the very first time.
Standing before a wide, open world, he felt both thrilled and lost.
Then, a melody drifted through the air.
It wasn't an ordinary sound. It was something full of longing and sorrow — like a distant voice calling out softly, or a fading light making one last plea. Most would never hear it. But Melo heard it.
He followed that melody to the edge of a forest. He rested his paw against an old tree and gazed into the deep, silent woods. He didn't know what lay ahead — but he knew one thing: that melody needed him.
And so, the adventure began.
About the Game
Hammony is a music adventure game currently in development.
In this world, all of nature has a melody — forests, rivers, mountain winds, plants and animals weaving together into a grand Symphony of the Earth. But human overdevelopment has broken that harmony, and the melodies across the land have slowly fallen silent.
Melo's journey is to follow that last desperate call, venture into forgotten corners of the natural world, restore the lost melodies, and help the nature sing again.

Why a Hamster?
We chose a hamster as our protagonist because he represents a quiet kind of possibility — when even the smallest creature is willing to listen, the world has a chance to be saved.
Melo has no hero's destiny, no special powers beyond a heart that's still in tune with nature. He's small, he's uncertain, and he's brave anyway.
Our studio is based near the Black Forest in Germany — and this landscape isn't just a backdrop for the game. It's where we live and work. The waterfalls, the wind through the valleys, the rustling of old trees — a lot of Hammony's world grew from sounds we hear every day.
We'll be sharing more about the development process as we go — character design, the music system, and the design decisions we kept going back and forth on.
